Hecke Algebra Characters and Immanant Conjectures
The main purpose of this article is to announce and provide supporting evidence for two conjectures about the characters of the Hecke algebra Hn(q) of type An_I' evaluated at elements of its Kazhdan-Lusztig basis. In addition, we prove a conjectured immanant inequality for Jacobi-Trudi matrices (definitions below) and show how our conjectures would imply stronger inequalities of a similar kind....
متن کاملExplicit Exponential Maps for Hecke Characters at Ordinary Primes
Let E be an elliptic curve with complex multiplication by the ring of integers of an imaginary quadratic field K. The theory of complex multiplication associates E with a Hecke character ψ. The Hasse-Weil Lfunction of E equals the Hecke L-function of ψ, whose special value at s = 1 encodes important arithmetic information of E, as predicted by the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture and verifi...
متن کاملKronecker Products, Characters, Partitions, and the Tensor Square Conjectures
We study the remarkable Saxl conjecture which states that tensor squares of certain irreducible representations of the symmetric groups Sn contain all irreducibles as their constituents. Our main result is that they contain representations corresponding to hooks and two row Young diagrams. For that, we develop a new sufficient condition for the positivity of Kronecker coefficients in terms of c...
متن کاملWeight Elimination in Serre-type Conjectures
We prove the weight elimination direction of the Serre weight conjectures as formulated by [Her09] for forms of U(n) which are compact at infinity and split at places dividing p in generic situations. That is, we show that all modular weights for a mod p Galois representation are contained in the set predicted by Herzig. Under some additional hypotheses, we also show modularity of all the “obvi...
متن کاملProof of the Flohr–grabow–koehn Conjectures for Characters of Logarithmic Conformal Field Theory
In the past two decades an almost complete understanding of the analytic and combinatorial structure of fermionic character representations for the minimal unitary models M(p, p) in conformal field theory has been obtained [3–6, 10–13, 16, 19–22]. In a recent paper Flohr, Grabow and Koehn (FGK) [9] took the first tentative steps towards extending these results to the realm of logarithmic confor...
